Together, Connecticut and Rhode Island contain over 213,951 acres of state parks, monuments, and protected lands. This includes forests, rivers, lakes, trails, and mountains. The states’ combined coast stretches across 136 miles of beaches, rocky inlets, bays, and marshes. Connecticut alone has more than 825 miles of Blue-Blazed trails. Even as locals in Southern New England, we’re constantly discovering new and exciting outdoor experiences in the region. To share our experiences, we built this page to serve as an educational and inspirational resource. Check out the map and the reviews of our favorite local trails.
